1. Customer Direction for Sub-Legal VLT Tint & Hold Harmless
Customer acknowledges that state motor vehicle laws mandate minimum Visible Light Transmission (VLT) percentages on automotive glass. Customer certifies that darker film requested is for medical exemption, out-of-state operation, or off-road/show vehicle use. Customer assumes 100% responsibility for traffic citations, inspection failures, or removal fees and agrees to defend and indemnify the Shop against all third-party claims.
2. Medical Exemption Certificate & Law Enforcement Responsibility
If window film is installed under a physician medical exemption, Customer acknowledges that state statutes require carrying official physician certification or DMV medical authorization cards inside the vehicle at all times. Shop makes no legal representation that medical waivers automatically prevent law enforcement stops.
3. Rear Window Defroster & Antenna Grid Disclaimer
Rear window defroster grids and integrated radio antennas are applied directly to glass with conductive paint. Factory thermal fatigue, aged adhesives, or brittle grid lines may delaminate during film squeegeeing or future tint removal. Shop is released from liability for electrical open-circuits on non-OEM or aged defroster grids.
4. Matrix Dot Border Hazing & 3-5 Day Moisture Cure
Ceramic frits (dot matrix borders) around windshields and quarter glass elevate film slightly from the surface, creating a normal whitish border. Moisture pockets, hazy spots, or water bubbles are an inherent part of the wet-lay installation process and require 3 to 7 days of sunlight exposure to evaporate completely.
5. Reduced Nighttime Visibility & Driver Responsibility
Customer understands that darkened automotive glass reduces night and wet-weather driver visibility. Customer agrees that operating the vehicle safely remains the sole responsibility of the vehicle driver. Shop is released from civil liability arising from vehicular collisions or driver visibility impairment.
Pre-Service Authorization & Assent
Customer agrees to pre-service condition log, certifies removal of personal property, and agrees to all liability terms stated above.
Post-Service Handover & Satisfaction
Customer confirms visual satisfaction on finished surfaces upon pickup, subject to standard 48-hour discovery window.
