Terms, Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
1. Clear Coat Thickness & Substrate Integrity Assent
Customer understands that paint correction involves the microscopic leveling of factory clear coat to reduce surface defects. On vehicles with thin, soft, re-sprayed, or degraded factory clear coat (under 80 microns / 3.0 mils), defect removal must be balanced with clear coat preservation. Shop disclaims liability for underlying substrate anomalies or pre-existing clear coat failure.
2. No Warranty of 100% Scratch Elimination
Customer agrees that deep rock chips, severe acid rain etching, bird dropping etching, and scratches penetrating through the clear coat into the color basecoat cannot be safely polished out without risking clear coat strike-through. The service represents an enhancement and reduction of defects, not a factory re-paint.
3. Mandatory 7-Day Coating Curing Window
Customer agrees to strictly observe the mandatory 7 to 14 day chemical curing period following ceramic coating application. During this window, Customer shall not wash the vehicle with detergents, park under sap-producing trees, or introduce abrasive contact. Water spotting resulting from unaddressed rain or sprinkler exposure during cure is not covered under warranty.
4. Warranty Maintenance & Annual Decontamination Terms
To maintain the validity of any manufacturer or Shop ceramic coating warranty, Customer must follow recommended two-bucket wash methods and return for scheduled annual ceramic decontamination inspections. Use of abrasive automatic brush car washes immediately voids all coating warranties.
5. Ceramic Coating Physical Impact Limitations
Customer acknowledges that ceramic coatings are sacrificial nano-ceramic protective layers engineered for UV protection, chemical resistance, and hydrophobic gloss. Ceramic coatings DO NOT function as rock chip barriers or body armor (unlike Paint Protection Film / PPF). Rock chips and physical gouges are not warranted defects.
Pre-Service Authorization & Assent
Customer agrees to pre-service condition log, certifies removal of personal property, and agrees to all liability terms stated above.
Post-Service Handover & Satisfaction
Customer confirms visual satisfaction on finished surfaces upon pickup, subject to standard 48-hour discovery window.
