Terms, Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
1. Baseline Pre-Service Defect & Damage Mapping
Customer and Shop have conducted a pre-service visual walkaround inspection of the Vehicle. All documented scratches, rock chips, clear coat oxidation, bumper scuffs, wheel curb rash, and glass imperfections represent pre-existing conditions. Shop is not responsible for repairing or concealing defects not included in the agreed service package.
2. Paint Depth Gauge Readings & Compounding Limits
Where digital electromagnetic paint gauge measurements indicate thin, worn, or non-uniform factory clear coat (below 35-40 microns), Shop will prioritize paint preservation over total defect removal. Customer acknowledges that deep scratches (RIDS) penetrating through clear coat cannot be safely leveled without risking clear coat strike-through.
3. Instrument Cluster, Warning Lights & Odometer Verification
Shop has verified and recorded the initial odometer reading and noted any illuminated dashboard warning lights (such as CEL, ABS, Airbag, or TPMS) prior to operating or moving the vehicle within the detailing bay or driveway.
4. Aftermarket Accessories, Loose Trim & Antenna Release
Non-OEM accessories, aftermarket carbon fiber splitters, unbaked repainted bumper lips, wrap emblems, and sun-degraded rubber weatherstripping often exhibit compromised adhesion. Shop is released from liability for loose or degraded exterior trim that dislodges during standard pressure washing or clay decontamination.
5. Post-Detail Delivery & Handover Mutual Assent
Customer agrees to conduct a final inspection upon vehicle pickup or key handover. Signing the delivery confirmation acknowledges that all services were executed satisfactorily and no new cosmetic damage occurred during service.
Pre-Service Authorization & Assent
Customer agrees to pre-service condition log, certifies removal of personal property, and agrees to all liability terms stated above.
Post-Service Handover & Satisfaction
Customer confirms visual satisfaction on finished surfaces upon pickup, subject to standard 48-hour discovery window.
